• In the midst of our autumn melancholy, there is a golden ray of light. Everything we saw as sorrow and decay reveals itself for what it is—the vibrant colors of change and transition.

Hello! Thank you for allowing us to accompany you as you move through your grief.

There Is No ‘Right’ Way to Grieve

Grief is an individual experience uniquely your own and impacted by many factors, including circumstances and relationships. Is there a right way to grieve? No. There is no one-size-fits-all in grief nor one way to do it. Grief has no time frame. There is no ‘should’ or ‘ought to’. It truly is different for each and every one of us — not right or wrong, just different.

    Coping With Major Life Changes/Transitions

Life can change in an instant. You may be confronting a loss or challenge that’s altered your world. It could be something you anticipated or never could have prepared for. Often it all seems like too much. The emotional toll might be so significant you wonder if you’ll ever be able to feel at peace or recover your sense of self at all.

If this is where you find yourself, life transitions therapy can be one of the best decisions you make. An opportunity to begin the healing process in a safe and compassionate space where you can learn to accept your emotions, resolve conflicts, understand your experiences, and gain tools to live with loss or change in a healthy way.

The Benefits of Life Transitions Counseling

Our manner of therapy allows you to speak freely and express whatever’s on your heart or mind, free from judgment or criticism. We will privately address feelings related to the death of a family member, friend/colleague, or pet, and other major life changes/transitions. We maintain that feelings are neither good nor bad, right nor wrong. They simply are — and every person has the right to feel what they feel.

    Moving Through Grief Together

Deep grief is a complex phenomenon that comes in waves. As you work through your own experiences with grief and its pain, we want you to recognize that all feelings are valid and that all feelings are subject to change.

You can navigate the grief process in part by identifying and observing the emotions you’re going through and then developing the ability — not to change these emotions — but to sit with them and ultimately move through them to a place of self-awareness and strength.

Together, we can look at where you are today and where you would like to be in the days, weeks, and months ahead. You can take steps toward healing from loss and discover a stronger version of yourself than you ever knew existed.
